When it comes down to tuners the choice is
enormous. I could have chosen locking this, or custom that
or... well you get the picture. My original remit was a 62
strat. I decided for better or for worse to buy genuine Fender
components in a number of areas and this was one of them.
Not because they were the best, but because the 62 strat
thing was going on in my mind. I bought these from a UK dealer
with some other bits and paid well over the odds. Ebay is the
place to look for the same thing but cheaper and that applies
to most hardware. |
| As you can see the finished deal
is exactly as you would expect - a perfect job and they
actually suit the vibe of the final guitar.
Overall I was very happy with this choice - these tuners
work absolutely fine for me. |

When you're buying tuners or for that matter any of the
hardware on these pages really look around the internet.
I paid well over the odds for my hardware - most of it was
genuine Fender kit, and is in the UK generally price fixed. The
internet is another matter. Ebay is a cool place to go, but check
out the hardware carefully otherwise you can easily buy crap off
there.
At one stage I bought a body and neck of a guy in the USA for
literally hundreds of dollars and he never shipped the goods. I
did get my money back, but he was REALLY hard work - second only
to Ebay themselves and those other characters Paypal.
If you buy on ebay you might be fine most of the time, but
believe me there are some real scumbags on there so 'let the buyer
beware' as they say.
