As you can see, again I plumped for the
Fender part. This is a Fender 62 reissue tremolo. The
specifications are exactly 62 so this was another of the
criteria for this choice.
I wanted to get the real deal vibe, so what better than the
real thing. The saddles on this unit are marked the same as
the original saddles. I am not sure if this was a replacement
for a custom shop model, but the tremolo is exacting in the
accuracy of the specs.
Exactly what I wanted. |
| I don't use the tremolo on any
strat as I would say on an Ibanez - that's a whole different
ball game.
The standard tremolo I felt was cool - and as you can see
from the pic on the right the look was perfect.
I opted for chrome finish, rather than trying to obtain
multiple gold parts that usually fade and wear badly. |

Around the back of the body you can see the
other detail of the tremolo. It's just a run of the mill
tremolo unit, but this one works... checkout the issues I had
when installing the unit on the body later on down the road
and you will see this was no piece of cake.
Having said that - you could do this too - it's not that
hard. |
If you want to use a different tremolo or even setup as a hard
tail strat no problem. All of the options are available on the
internet. Warmoth do a great job, but there are many other makers
out there to choose from.
You're calling the shots - so make your choice and find the
components - it's that easy.
