My strat needed the best there is and to this end I decided to buy everything from generally recognized suppliers, although much of what I bought was purchased from the internet.

I bought the body and neck from www.warmoth.com and these guys had a huge selection of variations on a theme to choose from. What is more, they offered a sort of customization program so that, (for example) if you wanted skinny frets, then you could order your neck with those, or if you wanted a maple capped neck, then that could also be accommodated.

There are no doubt many suppliers on the internet, I checked out most of them before buying. I liked warmoth, because the components were Fender 'authorized' making the strat have an air of respectability as well as the huge choices of things on offer.

Each and every part tells a story really, but visit the warmoth site and see for yourself, you cannot help but to be amazed at the quality, selection and price of their kit.
